“The hardest part is starting, but with my experience, education, skill set, and passion, I can play an integral role in my clients’ success!”

Eating healthfully is one of my innermost passions. I felt moved from an early age on to want to help others and after seeing many of the people I love suffer needlessly, I decided to turn that passion into my life’s mission. I was ignited to learn everything I could about optimizing health through food, nutrition, and other healthy lifestyle changes as a means of supporting our immune system to assist it in combating sickness and disease and am now committed to guiding and supporting others in making that transition.

My Journey
My journey to eat more healthfully began years ago, as I watched my dear friend struggle through the horrors of cancer treatment. I observed her getting weaker with the passing of each day, and it didn’t seem normal to me that something that was supposed to help her was making her sicker. I began researching healthy ways to support her. I took classes all over the country and came upon the Natural Gourmet Institute for Food and Health, in New York City. I enrolled in their Culinary Arts Chef Training Program and became certified as a Health Supportive Food Chef. This is not your ordinary culinary school. We learned how food can impact our well being, both physically and mentally.

I finished out the program with an internship with Dr Joel Fuhrman — a world-renowned nutritionist and New York Times best-selling author, where I learned firsthand how he helped “people attain dramatic weight loss and recover from severe health conditions” and became even more inspired to help others.

My journey continued as I taught people how to optimize their health. I coordinated a local food co-op and was blessed to connect many people with locally grown foods, which was some of the freshest, most nutritious and delicious food anyone had ever experienced. As time went on, my family saw many of our own health concerns resolve, (including my chronic eczema.) As we changed our diet and nutritional habits., we also saw many pounds shed and energy levels increase .

I then became certified as a Holistic Health Consultant where I learned the importance of adequate vitamin and mineral levels to help strengthen and support proper functioning of the body. However, there was one problem I kept encountering throughout my journey: People were overwhelmed and discouraged by the process of transitioning from an unhealthy lifestyle to a healthy one. The hardest part is starting, but with my experience, education, skill set, and passion, I can play an integral role in my client’s success.

My Goal

I have a strong desire to help people, and I don’t like to see anyone suffer needlessly. My goal at Designed for Life, LLC is simply to help my clients feel better. I would be honored to help you get your kitchen organized, establish proper diet and nutrition, and keep you motivated to get well and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

My Life

When I’m not helping others get healthy, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband, two children and reading the bible. I love being outside in nature, growing herbs and healthy cooking. I am a member of the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund, Holistic Traditions Foundation of America and a volunteer for Jewish Family Services in their Senior Mentorship Program.
